The role emphasizes directing projects from planning through construction, mentoring staff, and managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have 8–15+ years in highway design and delivery, and are proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS/Pro.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- 8–15+ years of related engineering experience in highway design and roadway construction.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS/Pro and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Lead transportation projects from planning through final design, bidding, and construction.
- Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and environmental professionals.
- Provide technical leadership for roadway design, including geometric design, drainage, and pavement design.
- Coordinate with RIDOT and municipal clients, review plans and calculations for quality and constructability.
