Job summary

VHB's Massachusetts Highway and Structures Team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex transportation megaprojects across Massachusetts and New England.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams of 10–30 engineers, planners, and specialists, guiding pursuits from strategy through design and construction, and collaborating with public agency clients to shape the transportation practice's growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of civil or structural engineering experience.
• Massachusetts P.E. licensure required; other NE state licensure a plus.
• Experience managing large transportation projects (design-build) for public agencies.
• Knowledge of MassDOT/MBTA/Massport involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-visibility transportation projects across MA and New England.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, and specialists.
• Oversee pursuits from strategic positioning through design and construction support.
• Provide leadership for project execution including scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Mentor staff and develop client relationships for strategic pursuits.
