Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager in North Carolina. You will manage transportation design for municipal agencies and NCDOT, oversee QC for roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, and signing, and mentor junior staff.

You will coordinate with client teams, lead design direction, and help develop specifications, cost estimates, and reports while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in all technical aspects of roadway or bridge design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• NC Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in project management and design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer is a plus.
• Experience with NCDOT and NC municipalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client and interdisciplinary interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipalities, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Manage design, provide senior-level functional designs, and QC for roadway geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing.
• Coordinate design development and provide direction to other staff; ensure quality within schedule and budget.
• Assist with specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports; lead meetings with clients.
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff and interface with client technical staff.
• Create and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverables, and invoices.
