Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer for our Transportation division with offices in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Winston-Salem, NC.

You will provide project management and senior design for transportation projects, ensuring QC for roadway geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, markings, and signing. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in roadway/bridge design, a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, and an NC PE license or the ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in roadway or bridge design
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
• NC PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT
• Manage design, provide senior-level functional designs, and provide QC for roadway geometry and details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams
• Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff
• Facilitate and lead project meetings with clients and STV teams
• Create, maintain, and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, invoices
