Job summary

STV in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager in the Transportation Division. The successful candidate will provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of roadway or bridge design experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and an NC PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• NC PE license required.
• 10+ years of experience in roadway or bridge design.
• Experience in project management and design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
• Open Roads Designer experience is a plus.
• Experience with NCDOT and NC municipalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipalities, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Manage design, provide senior-level functional designs, and QC for roadway geometry and details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams.
• Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff.
• Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
• Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV’s growth.
• Facilitate and lead project meetings both within STV and with clients.
• Create, maintain, and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, and invoices.
• Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers.
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff.
