Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks a Senior Roadway Engineer for our Transportation division in North Carolina (Raleigh/Charlotte/Winston-Salem).

The role provides project management and senior design for municipal, local government, and NCDOT projects, plus QC across roadway geometry, drainage, work zones, and signing. The ideal candidate will coordinate with client teams, lead design directions, and help advance STV's growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in roadway or bridge design.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• NC PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with NCDOT and NC municipalities.
• Strong communication and client-management skills.
• Experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Manage design, provide senior-level designs, and QC for roadway geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, markings and signing.
• Coordinate with client management teams and other disciplines, and lead project meetings.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff and coordinate with design team to meet schedule and budget.
