Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of Transportation Projects throughout the firm. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers on exciting projects of all delivery types, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other Alternative Delivery Transportation projects.

*Fully remote candidates will be considered for this role, although a hybrid work arrangement based in Fairfax, VA is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
8+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
PE license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months; ORD proficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead or support technical design on highways, interchanges, tollways, and transit corridors.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices.
Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Develop plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and presentations.
Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
Ensure QC and adherence to standards.
Stay informed on industry trends and alternative delivery methods.
