Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in our Transportation business unit.

The position requires 5+ years of experience and involves assisting and leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough and comprehensive end product. The incumbent will perform transportation engineering analyses, develop PS&E, and prepare technical reports for municipal, county, and state agencies, while maintaining strong client communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Experience leading project teams and delivering transportation engineering studies.

Responsibilities

• Assigned high-responsibility tasks on project teams.
• Resolve engineering problems with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Work with a team to provide transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Assist in preparation of reports and feasibility studies.
• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
