Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead transportation design across highways, bridges, tunnels, and rail projects. You will direct engineering tasks, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients and consultants.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE license, and at least eight years of experience, with preference for roadway, rail transit, and utility mitigation work. Strong leadership and CAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• PE license required; licensure preferred.
• 8+ years of related experience in transportation projects.
• Design experience in roadway, rail transit and utility impact mitigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and direct transportation projects including highways, bridges, tunnels, drainage structures, and rail facilities.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; support marketing and proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Lead project coordination meetings and supervise junior staff as needed.
• Apply advanced engineering principles and stay current with best practices in transportation engineering.
