Job summary

Horrocks in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead engineering efforts, guide delivery on complex infrastructure projects, and mentor engineers.

You will coordinate with clients, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure quality and safety in all designs. The role requires PE licensure and 15-20+ years of experience, with strong communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 15-20+ years of progressive engineering experience
• Strong technical expertise within relevant discipline (e.g., transportation, civil, structural, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead technical tasks and mentor team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with industry-standard design software and tools
• Commitment to quality, safety, and ethical engineering practices
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering tasks across multiple projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met
• Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert within your discipline
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering designs, calculations, reports, and specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior engineers and technical staff
• Support project planning, scoping, and budgeting efforts
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality procedures
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development efforts as needed
• Identify risks and propose solutions to maintain project progress and quality
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team and organization
