Job summary

Horrocks in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Transportation Director to lead transportation teams and own projects from inception to delivery. You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules, and supervise subconsultants while building strong client relationships with public and private sector clients.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, AZ PE license, and 15+ years of PM/BD experience, with DOT project delivery preferred. Local work and collaboration with other offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required.
• AZ Professional Engineer license required.
• 15+ years of Project Management & Business Development experience.
• Preferred 10+ years of DOT project experience.
• Experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs and municipalities.
• Willing to work locally or with other Horrocks offices.
• Strong written and oral communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects.
• Identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities.
• Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for projects.
• Manage subconsultant engineering services.
• Interface with state and municipal agencies and clients.
• Coordinate meetings and share resources with project stakeholders.
• Oversee Quality Control/Quality Assurance per Horrocks’ program.
• Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development.
