Job summary

RXO is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership for Transportation Management services. You will define opportunities for improvement, lead a transportation team, and drive cost-saving initiatives across multiple segments.

The role requires strong analytics, KPI development, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in supply chain management, a background in transportation/warehousing, and experience with data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in supply chain management (domestic or international).
• Experience in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory planning and management, network analysis and materials management.
• Experience with financial management and business integration; HR technical skills, financial and cost analysis, KPI development and tracking, operational performance analysis, data-driven decision making, continuous improvement initiatives, workflow automation experience, forecasting and demand planning.
• Availability to work extended hours, including evenings, nights and weekends; travel to customer and multiple operating locations

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for transportation operations and ensure the implementation of new strategies to meet requirements and customer expectations.
• Own KPI reporting and standardization across multiple segments of the business
• Implement AI and automation initiatives
• Develop and deploy transportation operational and management solutions and establish business controls and processes
• Provide direct supervisory control of the transportation team to ensure service levels are met
• Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives to achieve budget and operating income goals
• Lead HR development through training, development, and succession planning
• Identify growth opportunities with current and new customers; perform account management for select customers
• Recognize and manage operational risks/security practices; implement best practices and support legal processes
