You will also implement software solutions, manage the annual department budget, and drive process improvements for acquisitions, ensuring compliant, cost-effective transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5+ years of related logistics experience.
• Understanding of project management and supply chain principles.
• Knowledge of data structures and client/server relationships.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related interfaces.
• Familiarity with Manugistics Transportation modules.

Responsibilities

• Direct transportation operations planning, scheduling, and tendering to align with goals.
• Provide leadership, coaching, hiring, and conflict resolution for direct reports.
• Ensure staff skills match transportation needs.
• Oversee freight planning, scheduling, rate negotiation, carrier management, and freight auditing.
• Lead software implementations for Networks Transport/Carrier applications.
• Develop strategies to incorporate freight management from acquisitions.
• Manage department budgets and system workflows.
