Job summary

America West Transportation LLC in Columbus, OH, seeks a Transportation Manager to lead daily transportation operations for a PACE program, ensuring safe, timely services for participants. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with the elderly is required.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
• Experience in healthcare transportation, senior care, PACE, or related human services environment is preferred.
• Experience with vehicle scheduling, routing, and dispatch operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management & Leadership: recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop transportation staff; conduct performance evaluations; address performance concerns; mentor Supervisors, Dispatchers, Planners, and Drivers; foster accountability, safety, and service quality.
• Scheduling & Coordination: collaborate with Dispatchers, Planners, and Transportation Coordinators; support daily scheduling and route optimization; address staffing gaps and service disruptions.
• Meetings & Communication: participate in PACE meetings and trainings; build relationships with participants, caregivers, healthcare partners, and leadership; address concerns and conduct service recovery.
• Fleet & Operations Management: manage ADA-accessible vehicles and fleet; maintain fleet records; ensure staff adherence to policies; monitor utilization and efficiency.
• Compliance & Reporting: ensure compliance with policies and regulations; conduct safety meetings; prepare reports; ensure accurate data entry in TMS.
• Driving Responsibilities: operate company vehicles as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Process Improvement: develop transportation procedures to improve efficiency and satisfaction; participate in strategic initiatives.
