Job summary

Amazon in Tennessee is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager to lead TOM operations across Clarksville, Lebanon, and Nashville sites. You will manage budgets, drive labor and peak-season planning, and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers to deliver service excellence.

The role emphasizes strategic, network-wide improvements, cross-functional collaboration, and strong leadership across salaried and hourly staff. Occasional cross-site relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in operations management of fulfillment or distribution centers.
• 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning.
• Responsible for long-term planning (3, 6, 12 months) including labor planning, forecasting, and peak season planning.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity.
• Networks with leaders across the network to share process improvements and drive efficiencies and costs.
• Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
• Sets clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers and measures performance.
• Mentors and develops leaders and staff.
• Participates in recruiting to identify candidates for promotion and hire.
• Works with HR, Finance, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
