Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management with 5 years of engineering or construction management experience.
• Equivalency may be approved as an alternative.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates maintenance work on primary/secondary roadways and bridges in the county.
• Supervises employees to meet safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness goals per SCDOT policies and regulations.
• Manages yearly budgets for maintenance activities and shop operations.
• Develops training programs on basic management and highway programs and provides professional testimony as required.
