Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Transportation Manager to lead the TOM teams within a node, balancing strategy and execution to exceed customer expectations. You will mentor and coach Operations and Area Managers, manage budgets, drive labor planning, and guide strategic projects with network-wide impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in operations management of fulfillment or distribution centers.
• 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning, and operational goals for TOM.
• Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, forecasting, and peak season planning.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects with network-wide impact.
• Networks with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
