Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Transportation Technician III to lead inspection on road and bridge projects in North Carolina. You will supervise field inspectors, verify conformance to plans and specifications, and coordinate with contractors and public agencies.

The role requires strong communication and document control throughout construction. Candidates should have an associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Survey Technology, five years of progressive field

Qualifications

Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology and five years of field experience.
Active driver's license and ability to drive to field sites.
Experience analyzing highway construction plans and interpreting specs.
Knowledge of DOT Standards and Roadway Standard Drawings.
NCDOT certifications preferred and local project experience valued.

Responsabilités

Perform inspection of contractor operations on transportation projects to verify plans and specs.
Supervise and maintain subordinate inspection staff during construction.
Measure and track quantities of pay items and document daily activities.
Gather and maintain material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
Interact with the public, agencies, contractors, and others to resolve field issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
