You will inspect and oversee highway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards, serving as the daily point of contact with clients and contractors. The role requires a high school diploma and 5-10 years of construction inspection experience, with a safety-first mindset and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience in construction, inspection, material testing, or transportation engineering for highway/bridge projects with MO DOT and municipalities.
• Safety-first mindset and strong writing/listening/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Serve as daily point of contact with clients and contractors; manage all project aspects including observations, testing, and documentation.
• Measure distances, verify levels, alignment, and elevations.
• Prepare material samples for laboratory testing and examine workmanship for conformance to standards.
• Record quantities, develop pay estimates and change orders; maintain daily logs.
