GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in St. Louis, MO. You will inspect and oversee construction work to ensure results, procedures, and materials comply with plans and specifications, serving as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 0–4 years in inspection, a safety-first mindset, and strong writing and communication skills. The role offers a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience in highway projects or MODOT, municipal work.
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances to verify dimensions of structural installations.
• Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
• Observe work in progress to ensure compliance with specs.
• Prepare material samples for laboratory testing.
• Examine workmanship for conformity to standards.
• Interpret plans and discuss deviations to ensure construction compliance.
• Record materials received or used and develop pay estimates.
• Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities.
• Monitor multiple work activities and maintain safety practices.
• Manage documents using platforms such as AASHTOWare, e-Builder, or Transport.
