Job summary
AECOM Corporation is seeking a Senior Transportation Hydraulics Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Franklin, TN area. You will provide technical leadership on transportation infrastructure projects, guiding complex design efforts, mentoring staff, and delivering innovative solutions to meet client needs.
The ideal candidate will bring a PE license, strong hydraulics and modeling experience, and a track record leading complex projects across the project lifecycle with collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of related experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee or eligible by reciprocity.
- 6 years hydraulics experience including closed drainage and ditch design.
- 2 years hydraulic modeling experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineer on mid- to large-scale transportation projects with oversight.
- Provide specialized technical input for transportation studies, planning, and design.
- Lead development and review of complex designs ensuring codes, standards and client requirements.
- Review, approve and seal engineering plans and deliverables within area of expertise.
- Develop and present technical solutions to clients, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering designs and documents.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support professional development.
- Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and project pursuits.
- Develop budgets, resource needs, and schedules for large projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery.
