Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field with six years of related experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or reciprocal licensure capability.
Six years of hydraulics experience including closed system drainage and ditch design.
Two years of hydraulic modeling experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead engineer on mid- to large-scale transportation projects with direction and oversight.
Provide specialized technical input for transportation studies, planning, and design.
Lead development and review of complex engineering designs compliant with codes and client requirements.
Review, approve, and seal engineering plans within area of expertise and licensure.
Develop and present technical solutions to clients, stakeholders, and leadership.
Perform quality control/quality assurance on designs and documents.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support professional development.
Contribute to technical proposals, scopes of work, and project pursuits.
Develop engineering budget estimates, resources, and schedules for large projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful execution.
