Job summary

Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group in California is seeking Associate and Senior Civil Engineers with a focus on traffic and transportation for public agencies and private developers.

Ideal candidates will prepare traffic studies, TIAs, VMT analyses, and roadway design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synchro, and SIDRA, with familiarity of CA MUTCD and Caltrans ISOAP. Licensure as CA PE/TE or eligibility is required, plus 5+ to 10+ years of experience for Senior.

Qualifications

• Active California PE or TE license, or licensure in another state with ability to obtain California licensure within six (6) months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience preparing traffic studies, transportation construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Working knowledge of ADA compliance requirements and implementation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, Synchro, SIDRA, and traffic modeling software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of Traffic Impact Analyses (TIA)
• Provide peer review services for Traffic Impact Analyses and transportation studies
• Conduct Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) analyses
• Prepare and review Caltrans ISOAP and related traffic operations studies
• Perform intersection control evaluations, including roundabout analysis and design
• Design grading and drainage improvements for transportation projects
• Design ADA-compliant sidewalks, curb ramps, and pedestrian facilities
• Perform horizontal and vertical roadway alignment design
• Prepare signing and striping plans
