Job summary
TYPSA, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead roadway design for state and municipal projects.
You will guide a design squad, perform modeling, plan production, cost estimates, and ensure quality control on a broad range of transportation assignments. The ideal candidate has a BSCE and 10+ years of experience, a CA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months, and CA T.E./PTOE certifications are a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; licensure preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of road design experience on state/municipal projects.
- Professional Engineer registration in CA or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- California T.E. and/or PTOE certifications are a plus.
- Experience with public agency projects and roadway design standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead traffic technical design for transportation projects and coordinate with team.
- Perform traffic analysis, safety audits, ITS design, and signal timing.
- Prepare technical reports and design calculations.
- Create project work plans and manage budgets and schedules.
- Assist business development and pursue transportation projects.
- Ensure quality reviews and compliance with contracts.
