Job summary

EPD Solutions seeks a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead private development and municipal transportation projects in California. You will design traffic systems, analyze operations, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding business development and client relationships.

The role requires a California-registered engineer with expertise in intersection and signal design, traffic impact analyses, and transportation planning, using AutoCAD, Synchro, and VISSIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years full-time work experience or equivalent
• Registered Professional Engineer in California
• Experience in intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing/striping
• Transportation planning including traffic impact analyses and operations
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM or similar tools
• Strong communication and project-management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering projects for private development and public agencies, including intersection design and traffic signals
• Lead business development efforts to expand services to new clients and geographies
• Represent the company in client meetings, conferences and industry events
• Prepare detailed designs for traffic control systems and roadway enhancements
• Conduct traffic studies and analyses, including TIA and signal timing studies
• Ensure quality assurance for transportation design deliverables and manage budgets/schedules
• Maintain clear communications with stakeholders and attend public hearings as needed
• Support department and company-wide process improvement initiatives
