Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics seeks a Principal Traffic Engineer to lead traffic design teams in San Diego, CA. The role drives complex projects, client coordination, and regulatory compliance while mentoring staff and supporting business growth.

The candidate should hold a BSCE and a CA PE, with 7+ years in traffic engineering and 5+ years of leadership, preferably with Southern California exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Minimum 7 years in traffic engineering/planning, or 12+ years in the industry.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience supervising traffic engineering teams.
• Recent Southern California experience preferred, especially San Diego County.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage traffic engineering design teams and projects.
• Provide technical leadership for traffic engineering and planning initiatives.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering staff and support business development.
