Job summary

Conrad Consulting, based in New Jersey, seeks a Transportation Engineer - Team Lead to guide transportation projects from initiation to delivery. You will lead project teams, coordinate with clients and municipalities, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project management, and mentorship of junior engineers. Prior NJDOT experience and proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred/required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience, including roadway, traffic, and/or transportation projects.
• Strong communication and project management skills required.
• Experience with NJDOT and local New Jersey transportation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering projects and project teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Review plans, designs, reports, and technical work.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and other consultants.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and staff.
• Assist with proposals, project planning, and business development.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
