Job summary
YU & Associates, Inc., an award-winning engineering firm in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead highway and roadway projects, manage design, analysis, and execution, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, a PE license (NJ/NY) within six months, 5+ years of transportation design, and strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D).
Travel to job sites is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (required).
- Professional Engineer License in NY and/or NJ required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 5+ years of transportation design experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute roadway engineering tasks based on engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts.
- Design roadway horizontal and vertical geometry.
- Design MOT/MPT plans and specifications.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects and tasks.
- Assist project manager with technical and management collaboration.
- Prepare reports on traffic-operation matters and evaluate transportation systems.
