Job summary

H&H in Portland, Maine is seeking a Mid-Level Roadway/Transportation Engineer to join our Highway Group. You will contribute to roadway design, project engineering, client coordination, and mentoring less experienced engineers as part of a collaborative, team-focused culture.

Qualifications

Roadway and transportation design experience required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
Familiarity with MaineDOT design standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation projects.
Attend client meetings, participate in proposals, manage tasks and projects, liaise with regulators.
Coordinate effectively with design team members.
Mentor less experienced engineers in plans, specs, and estimates.
Handle project communications, scheduling, and budgeting across multiple tasks.
Support local marketing, proposals, and municipal functions.
