H&H is seeking a team-focused, dynamic Mid-Level Roadway/Transportation Engineer to join our Highway Group in Portland, Maine. This role offers the opportunity to apply technical expertise, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to a diverse transportation portfolio.

The successful candidate will contribute to roadway design, project engineering, client coordination, and mentoring less experienced engineers, while advancing our standards from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of highway/roadway design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Familiarity with MaineDOT design standards; drainage design preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsabilités

• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation roadway projects.
• Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage project tasks and projects, and meet with regulatory agencies.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with other members of the design team.
• Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in the production of plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Perform project engineering responsibilities related to project communication, scheduling, budget, and progress across multiple concurrent tasks.
• Assist with local marketing efforts, including proposal preparation, professional chapter meetings, and municipal functions and meetings.
