Job summary

STV currently has an opening in any of Kentucky locations (Glasgow, Louisville, Lexington and Owensboro) for a Senior Transportation Engineer in our Transportation division. You will collaborate with staff to deliver engineering services and support project schedules, budgets, and milestones.

You will lead multidisciplinary coordination, supervise junior staff, and help manage highway, interchange, and multimodal projects across the South Region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience required.
• KY Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong background working with KYTC and local KY municipalities is desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior engineer to ensure project delivery for KYTC projects, various DOTs, counties, municipalities, and private development entities.
• Coordinate with the design team to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budget.
• Provide QA/QC for engineering deliverables.
• Assist with development of specifications, cost estimates, reports, and final bid packages.
• Establish working relationships with clients and project managers; train and direct staff.
• Assist with technical and cost proposals; provide input on strategic planning.
