Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in Kentucky (Glasgow, Louisville, Lexington or Owensboro). You will lead project delivery, manage multidisciplinary coordination, and mentor junior staff while aligning staff efforts with client goals.

Responsibilities span highway/interchange design, coordination across teams, and ensuring deliverables meet budgets and schedules. This role offers growth and exposure to diverse transportation projects within STV’s South Region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience is required.
• KY Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong background working with KYTC and local KY municipalities is desired.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a senior engineer to ensure project delivery for KYTC projects, various Departments of Transportation, Counties, Municipalities, and other private development entities.
• Coordinating with the design team to develop quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
• Provide QA/QC for various engineering deliverables.
• Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages.
• Establishing working relationships and interfacing with clients and project managers.
• Train and direct staff.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
• Provide assistance in RFP responses and supply input on strategic planning in pursuit of future projects.
