Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Richmond, VA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position; on-site in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities include traffic engineering, project management, and growing the practice while mentoring staff. You will contribute to marketing and business development and collaborate with jurisdictions, engineers, and contractors on various projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering and ITS.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
• Experience in business development, including proposals and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety and ITS projects.
• Develop growth vision for personal practice while contributing to firm growth.
• Manage projects profitably; mentor staff and transition work to qualified teammates.
• Contribute to marketing and business development efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers, jurisdictions, and contractors on diverse projects.
