Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Charleston office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position.

You will perform traffic engineering and project management for a wide range of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects for diverse clients, while mentoring staff and contributing to marketing and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of transportation planning and traffic engineering experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Synchro, HCS and/or Vissim preferred.
• Ability to manage and mentor staff and deliver high-quality client service.
• Business development and marketing experience including proposals and scopes.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation planning, transit, safety, and ITS projects.
• Lead and mentor staff, manage projects profitably, and build client relationships.
• Contribute to marketing efforts and pursue growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with jurisdictions, contractors, and a team of engineers and designers.
• Deliver a variety of projects while fostering collaboration and professional relationships.
