Job summary

Horrocks in the United States seeks a Senior Transportation Director to lead design teams on complex transportation projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

You will identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities with public and private clients, manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders, subconsultants, and office management to optimize resources.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering and AZ PE license required.
• 15+ years of PM & business development experience.
• DOT experience preferred (10+ years).
• Experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs, municipalities or regional agencies.
• Willingness to work locally or in workshare with other offices.
• Proven history of meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with project accounting practices and systems.
• Knowledge of Open Roads Designer, InRoads, Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects.
• Identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities within public and private sectors.
• Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for transportation projects to successfully deliver projects.
• Solicit and manage subconsultant engineering services.
• Interface with public and private sector clients including state and municipal agencies.
• Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
• Manage Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities per Horrocks' Quality Program.
• Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development opportunities.
