Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Senior Transportation Director to own and deliver transportation projects from start to finish. You will lead design teams, manage budgets and schedules, and pursue new opportunities with public and private sector clients in Arizona and beyond.

The role emphasizes senior leadership, client stewardship, and collaboration across offices with a strong focus on delivering high-quality transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license in AZ.
• 15+ years of Project Management & Business Development experience.
• Preferred 10+ years of DOT experience.
• Experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Horrocks transportation design teams to deliver projects.
• Identify and pursue new transportation engineering opportunities.
• Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules.
• Solicit and manage subconsultant engineering services.
• Interface with state and municipal agencies and clients.
• Coordinate meetings with project stakeholders and resources.
• Manage QA/QC activities per the Quality Program.
• Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development.
