Job summary

HOK in Philadelphia is seeking a Sr. Design Professional for Transportation to lead design development, production and delivery of transit infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with project teams to translate design intent into high-quality documentation and may mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration, sustainable design, and involvement across project phases, with a hybrid work environment and opportunities to impact civic mobility across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture is required.
• 6+ years of experience in architecture or related field.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate is preferred.
• Experience in large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for and upholds the design intent of stations, transit facilities, and urban infrastructure, ensuring translation into construction documentation.
• Analyzes and develops approaches to create/modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details.
• Develops, modifies, and/or reviews drawings according to established standards.
• Develops presentations and early design studies; prepares 2D/3D drawings and models for reviews.
• Mentors and directs work of less experienced staff; may interface with clients/consultants.
• Supports QA/QC and project standards; conducts product and code research for documents.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in architecture

6 plus years’ experience

LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred

Prior experience in large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects preferred
