Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Designer to lead the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways and rail corridors, across multiple offices including Portland, ME.

You will prepare contract and construction drawings using MicroStation and OpenRoads, mentor designers, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' document production experience in engineering.
• NHDOT experience preferred.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of contract and construction drawings for highway and rail projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level designers.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, material costs, and construction estimates.
• Prepare project As-Builts documentation and support field assignments as needed.
