Job summary

Accendra Health invites applications for a Transportation Lead to organize daily deliveries and pickups for our nationwide homecare delivery network. You will coordinate routes, coach staff, and ensure on-time performance while complying with DOT and regulatory standards.

The role involves setting up equipment at patient homes and supporting delivery operations. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of related experience, at least 3 years driving history, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of related experience.
• Minimum three years driving history.
• Must be at least 21 years old at hire.
• Must meet DOT, FDA and Joint Commission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily deliveries and pickups by geographic area and staff availability.
• Process additional deliveries as patient and referral requests are received.
• Respond to emergency delivery calls on a regular and on‑call basis.
• Assign and coach staff; oversee delivery operations and schedules.
• Ensure delivery trucks depart on time and comply with regulations.
• Perform supervision duties during staff shortages; cover as needed.
• Deliver and set up equipment at patient homes; instruct patients on use.
• Maintain driver qualification files and logbooks; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance logs; oversee preventative maintenance.
• Review productivity data; monitor stops and miles driven; support delivery efficiency.
• Perform delivery confirmation and other duties as assigned.
