Job summary

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor for the CSVT project in Snyder County, PA.

The role involves supervising inspection staff, consulting with contractors, and ensuring plans, specs, materials, and safety practices meet contract requirements. The candidate should have a structures and paving background, relevant certifications, and the ability to prepare daily progress reports, check shop drawings, and manage field documentation.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree required.
• NICET Level 2+ in Transportation/Highway Construction.
• NECEPT Bituminous field certification.
• ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification.
• PennDOT/PTC CDS certification.
• ECMS experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor.
• Ensure compliance with the contractor’s health and safety plan.
• Check that delivered materials conform to the contract documents.
• Check contractor’s layout and verify accuracy.
• Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed in accordance with company requirements.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication.
• Follow and convey instructions.
• Utilize computers and standard office equipment.
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Wear required personal protective gear/equipment.
• React to hazardous warnings and signals.
• Infrequently perform manual labor.
• Infrequently work in adverse weather conditions.
• Limited exposure to chemicals.
• Travel as required and as it relates to duties.
• Provide a positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company.
• Perform other duties commensurate with the position.

Education

BS Civil Engineering

NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction

NECEPT Bituminous field certification

ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification

PennDOT/PTC CDS certification

ECMS experience

OSHA 10-Hour certification
