Job summary

Jacobs in Oregon is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector - Transportation to support projects in Bend, Portland or Corvallis. You will oversee on-site quality, review plans, and assist in turnover packages for roads, rapid transit and ADA ramp programs.

Per diem travel Oregon-wide is expected during the season with an optional home-office in the off-season. Bring 7+ years in DOT construction, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certified technical training required.
• 7+ years of experience working in DOT construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.
• Able and willing to work day and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.
• Valid drivers license with good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work on-site to ensure quality compliance with contractors and subcontractors.
• Review plans and specifications and assist in Turn Over Package requirements.
• Provide on-site assistance monitoring and visually inspecting material at receipt and installation.
• Coordinate with project teams and adapt schedules to meet project needs.
