Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector - Transportation based in the Oregon area (Bend, Portland, or Corvallis). You will oversee quality compliance on roads, rapid transit, and ADA ramp projects, working with contractors to review plans, monitor installations, and support turnover packages.

This role requires travel across Oregon during construction season and on-site presence. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in the DOT construction industry, strong communication and analytical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certified technical training.
• 7+ years of experience in DOT construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; safety requirements.
• Able and willing to work day and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.
• Valid driver's license with good driving history.
• Oregon DOT ramp certification preferred or ability to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Review plans and specifications with contractors and subcontractors.
• Assist in Turn Over Package requirements and development.
• Provide on-site monitoring and visual inspection of material at receipt and installation.
• Willing to travel Oregon-wide per diem during the construction season.
