Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor in Fort Washington, PA. This full‑time position will supervise highway and bridge inspections, ensure compliance with plans and codes, and manage field staff across multiple projects for PennDOT and related agencies.

The candidate will review plans, coordinate efforts, perform field measurements, and maintain project records while liaising with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience may substitute.
• 4+ years of Transportation/highway/bridge Construction Inspection experience.
• NICET Level 2+ in Transportation Highway Construction or equivalent.
• NECEPT-Bituminous Field Technician certification.
• PennDOT Concrete Field Technician (ACI Concrete Field Technician prerequisite).

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, layouts, specs and construction methods for compliance.
• Coordinate and supervise inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance with plans and standards.
• Oversee inspection staff across all project phases.
• Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignments, elevations of structures and pavements.
• Draft project correspondence, facilitate meetings, resolve field issues.
• Witness sampling and testing of concrete, soils and materials.
• Maintain project records using ECMS and related systems.
• Interact with clients, agencies, contractors and the public.
