The role requires travel across the state, outdoor site work, and occasional extended hours or overnight stays. Ideal candidates hold SCDOT certifications and Foundations Certification, with four or more relevant years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field plus four years relevant experience.
• Associate degree in construction management or related field plus six years relevant experience.
• If no degree, at least eight years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects.
• Ensure all work and materials comply with proposal, plans and specs.
• Perform calculations, take measurements, verify weights and volumes as needed.
• Plot and run cross sections and prepare as-builts during progress.
• Perform materials testing and document inspected work daily.
