Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our Transportation team in Maryland or Virginia. You will conduct field inspections on roadway, bridge, and drainage projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements.

With a technical degree and 7+ years of experience, you will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and contractors, and document progress using Site Manager and Project Wise. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma or certificate in related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience with VDOT procedures and policies
• Proficient in Site Manager and Project Wise
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Knowledge of roadway, structure and bridge construction methods

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects for quality and compliance
• Coordinate inspections with contractor, client personnel and stakeholders
• Prepare reports and documentation for project records and pay applications
• Mentor junior staff in procedures, standards, and software
• Monitor progress schedules and ensure safety and environmental requirements
