ATCS is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors and Senior Inspectors to join our Virginia team, with opportunities in Charlottesville and surrounding areas. The role involves inspecting highway, bridge, and related projects, writing daily reports, and ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

Candidates should have experience with VDOT specifications, OSHA guidelines, and field testing of materials.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of inspector experience for Inspector candidates.
• 6+ years of inspector experience for Senior Inspector candidates.
• Knowledge of VDOT Road and Bridges specifications and standards.
• OSHA safety requirements on road and bridge sites.
• Mathematics including algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SiteManager, PlanGrid and project management software.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections on highways, bridges, environmental, traffic, and facilities projects.
• Write daily progress reports.
• Oversee contractor work crews to ensure contract compliance and safe practices.
• Conduct materials field tests (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, HMA).
• Document materials, labor, safety, estimates, and work orders.
• Report on-site activities and pay quantities to the Project Engineer.
