Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Chicago, IL seeks a Civil Engineer III to join our transportation team. You will lead roadway design efforts, coordinate with clients and outside agencies, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

The role requires a BS in civil engineering, PE/EIT options, and 5+ years of transportation experience. Local travel and a comprehensive benefits package accompany a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of professional engineering experience with emphasis on transportation engineering.
• EIT Registration required, or six or more years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with the preparation of construction plans and/or studies for roadway or traffic projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed roadway design work with project team.
• Evaluate complex engineering problems and develop solutions.
• Lead QA/QC reviews of technical work.
• Prepare maps, graphics, and reports for meetings and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and outside agencies.
• Lead proposals and client presentations.
