Job summary

NYCEDC seeks a Senior Project Manager for Transportation & Citywide Projects to manage stakeholder engagement for citywide transportation initiatives and special projects. You will liaison with City Council staff and advise leadership on policy recommendations, ensuring NYCEDC priorities are reflected in transportation efforts.

The role requires building outreach strategies, coordinating with multiple agencies, and supporting grant processes related to transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; political science, community planning or other relevant experience preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience working with elected officials, public agencies, and/or community-based organizations.
• Collaborative approach and experience working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create public, elected official, stakeholder engagement, and multi-faceted communications strategies.
• Support a portfolio of cross-departmental projects and track progress of public commitments and goals.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and manage up when needed.
• Lead engagement on key NYCEDC projects and coordinate with DOT as required.
