Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery in the United States is seeking a Superintendent to lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. You will oversee multiple foremen and craft professionals, ensuring safety, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Located in our area offices or project sites across multiple states, you will apply the Early Contractor Involvement model to influence design and construction from the earliest stages, mentor junior staff, and develop plans

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience with 3+ years in leadership on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes where appropriate.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
