Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery in the United States is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-voltage transmission and substation projects, using an Early Contractor Involvement model to influence outcomes from the earliest stages.

You will mentor junior superintendents and foremen, coordinate subcontractors, manage safety, scheduling, cost control, and client relations across projects in Ohio and other locations; this role offers a path to shape power delivery with a trusted industry

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
